The latest in the now-famous SM series from France’s EarSonics, the S-EM6 is the first universal IEM to use six drivers and a three-way crossover. Featuring the same durable acrylic chassis and comfortable outer-ear-filling shape as the brand’s custom line, these buds deliver a rich, expressive, crystal-clear sound compatible with any genre. The Headphone List says the S-EM6 has “a full, clear, transparent sound that doesn’t lack anything. Vocals and midrange instruments are slightly emphasized, while bass and treble are present but in no way overpowering or fatiguing.”
Made for audiophiles, stage musicians, and sound engineers alike, the S-EM6 IEMs are equipped with six balanced armature drivers (two low frequency, two mid-range, and two high frequency). It has a sensitivity of 124 decibels, a frequency response of 10 hertz to 20 kilohertz, and an impedance of 60 ohms. Lightweight and relatively strong, the detachable cable sports a Y-split and neck cinch, and isn’t prone to tangling or touch noise.
