阿波藍染使用的真正藍靛染料，在日本有著悠久的歷史，甚至用於江戶時代的浮世繪。在各種藍靛染料中，德島的阿波藍染因其豐富奢華的外觀而被日本各地認為是高級染色品不可或缺的染料。 TH1000RP 和 TH1100RP 的外殼使用的是由自然藍靛製成的阿波藍染，不會損害木材，在幾天內反覆手工染色並進行固化。在此過程中，溫度和濕度的變化會影響染料的乾燥，每個外殼的木紋結構也會影響細小色粒的滲透條件。結果是一個獨一無二的外殼，擁有藍靛獨有的深藍色調，同時美麗展現楓木的平滑木紋，每個外殼的質地完全不同，甚至左右兩側也不同。

旗艦級別的 RP 單元
Fostex 的 RP 單元採用長方形設計，內部採用輕盈及高耐用性的聚酰亞胺薄膜，並在薄膜上加入鋸齒狀線圈，能夠提供更自然的信息傳遞性能。而 Fostex 更擴大 TH1000RP 的 RP 單元整體面積，並用上合共 11 組的磁鐵陣列，平衡耳機的磁通量分佈，在抑制失真的同時，帶來更高的靈敏度。


藍染工藝楓木外殼
Fostex 在設計 TH1000RP 時，特意用上結他常見的楓木為外殼，利用高硬度以及高密度的特性，加強高頻的明亮感，同時令細節更為分明。並用上傳統的藍染工藝，對外殼進行成色處理。
